The newly formed Strider Inc. captured the Grand Prize in the annual Bruce
Clay Inc. Charity SEO Contest. The winning submission was a proposal to
optimize the website of The Elisha Foundation, a charity supporting
families with disabled children.

Toronto, ON February 26, 2008 – Toronto based online marketing firm Strider Inc. has been awarded the Grand Prize in the annual Bruce Clay Inc. SEO Charity Contest. The contest paired SEO companies with a charity of their choice, and the winning proposal was selected by the team at Bruce Clay Inc.

The SEO Charity contest invited submissions from SEO freelancers and agencies around the world, with the winner to be given a pass to the highly respected Bruce Clay Inc. Basic and Advanced Certification training program, and a pass to the Search Engine Strategies conference in New York. To enter, each contestant selected a community charity with an existing website and created a proposal to apply SEO techniques to improve the search ranking and performance of the charity’s website.
Strider Inc. has committed to donate 1 year of search engine optimization for the charity’s website.

The Elisha Foundation is a charitable organization based in Oregon, with a mission of ministering to families with children with special needs. Through the organization of family retreats, TEF aims to encourage each member of the family, including siblings who are not disabled. Retreats offered by The Elisha Foundation feature a variety of medical specialists and therapists, activities for every family member, and dedicated child care to relieve parents who care for special needs children on a
continual basis. TEF was founded in 2004 by the Reimer family, whose son, Elisha, was born in 1997 with Down Syndrome. In 2006 TEF began a program ministering to military personnel disabled in combat.

Bruce Clay Inc. was founded in 1996 by Bruce Clay, an internet business consultant. With offices in five countries, Bruce Clay Inc. is one of the largest and most respected SEO firms in the world; their research and publications are often cited by other SEO firms and mainstream media when discussing the internet marketing landscape.

The newly formed Strider Inc. was born out of the years of freelance online marketing experience of Ryan Freeman of Toronto. The company aims to assist and enable small businesses and non-profit groups to compete in the online marketplace by achieving higher search engine rankings and improving the performance of their websites. Strider Inc. donates SEO services each month to selected charities and churches.

“This is a real honour,” said Freeman. “To be selected in a contest of this calibre is quite a thrill for our young firm, but to be able to help a charity that’s close to our hearts is simply amazing. The Elisha
Foundation has such a unique and important mission, I’m just excited that we are able to raise awareness for the work Justin Reimer and his team are doing. Every one of us at Strider Inc. has family members with special needs, and we see the value in this ministry.”
