One of my favourite – and most time consuming – projects in the Strider portfolio is our online florist community, FlowerChat. For the past few months the FlowerChat membership has been hard at work sifting through numerous submissions for the FlowerChat Logo Design contest. Submissions were collected in May and voted on in groups (American Idol style) until the top batch was unveiled at the end of June.

The winning submission came from Jay, a member of our Strider SEO design team.

Since it’s in rather poor taste to give prizes to ourselves, we have awarded the Grand Prize to Eric of Everyday Flowers, an Orange County florist and long-time FlowerChat contributor. You can find Eric blogging regularly on the Everyday Flowers blog and posting on his florist videos on YouTube.

In second place was Dorothy, a florist in Summerland, BC and owner of DynOmite Dzines, her new graphic design business.

Our third place prize went to Dazeal, who occasionally goes by the name of Brandon (in the rare moments when he’s offline) from the wickedly awesome Enchanted Florist in Ashland, OR. Aside from their stylish floral designs, Enchanted Florist is a source for some of the world’s best chocolates!
